I provide customized consultation for your home product purchases from electronics (computers/laptops and related equipment; telephone systems; stereos, TVs, MP3 players, and other audio/visual equipment; digital cameras and accessories; appliances) to automobiles.
You describe what you seek, and I search the market (including online), analyze what is available, and recommend products so that you can make your best purchasing decision.
This service is perfect for anyone who lacks time to scour the market looking for the right products, or anyone who lacks the computer and Internet knowledge to do so.
Busy executives, seniors, moms with kids, and many others can benefit from my cost-effective service.
I help make sure you get the right product to suit your needs before you buy; after you've bought and installed it, it's usually too late to change your mind, and a hassle in any event.
I started doing this for family and friends when I was in middle school, and they said that I should do it as a business. I am in high school now (in Nassau County, L. I.). I have good experience in researching a wide variety of products, and have many online and in-print resources to research new products and update ones previously investigated.
Here is how the simple process works:
Step 1: You contact me by phone or e-mail, and answer some straightforward questions so that I will know what you seek (example: for a home telephone system, I would ask if you have preferences in the areas of brand, color, cordless vs. corded, number of handset stations desired, whether you want a built-in answering machine, size or footprint of the device, price range, time frame for making the purchase, etc.).
Step 2: I give you an initial estimate of the likely range of cost for my service, based upon the complexity of the project, the magnitude of the purchase, and the expected amount of time the research should take me. You send me payment (check by mail or cash in person) for at least 50% of the cost estimate so that I can get started. In the unlikely event that the project becomes more complicated than originally anticipated, we can discuss how to adjust the fee, or the project.
Step 3: I perform all the research on the product, and prepare a report that I can e-mail or fax or mail to you. Many projects are better addressed in stages, so I often provide interim reports and ask follow-up questions, to refine the process.
Step 4: I confirm the amount due, and you pay the balance.
Separate flat-fee arrangements can be made if you need assistance picking up or installing your new purchase (in Nassau).
With an e-mail address and a phone line with voicemail dedicated to this business, I am reachable on a daily basis.
